Spoon. Mid-fire white clay and glaze. Fired to cone 6.
This was basically a test piece to see how spoons are made. This one was fired hanging on a wire wedged between two fire bricks. The wire was not strong enough to hold the spoon away from the plank, but only a minimal amount of kiln wash got stuck to the spoon so the spoon is still usable. The glaze was partially double layered but this was not apparent after the firing.
