Spoon. Mid-fire white clay and glazes. Fired to cone 6.
This was basically a test piece to see how spoons are made. This one was fired hanging on a wire wedged between two fire bricks. The wire was not strong enough to hold the spoon away from the plank, and a large amount of kiln wash got stuck to the spoon. Grinding failed to remove the kiln wash, so the spoon is not really usable.
