Ambrose’s sidetrack into the world of ceramics

My venture into the world of ceramics started in my first year at OCAD, through the Throwing Club, our friendly studio technician Robin, from some books I borrowed from the library*, and a random smattering of web sites I intentionally found and unintentionally came across.

My program is not in ceramics; indeed, OCAD no longer has a program in ceramics and no one can even major in ceramics any more. Although I still have a lot more to learn, I’m happy to have already gotten this far.

* I borrowed most of the books I read from the public library before I figured out where they’ve stashed them in OCAD’s own Dorothy H. Hoover Library: Most of them are shelved not under Ceramics (NK) but under Material Arts Technology (TT).
